Software Overview
Each VSN450 shipped by Datapath is custom built. If cards are not pre-installed then installation of the
software/drivers is required. For information on software installation consult the relevant user manual
contained on the system installation CD.
If you have ordered Datapath Wall Control-red software this will have been installed prior to shipment.
Wall Control-red
Wall Control-red is a software application for controlling Vision, IP-Camera and third-party application
windows on Datapath wall controller machines. It provides a graphical representation of the video wall
and a toolbar through which to manipulate all available sources and applications. Wall Control can be
used to interactively open, move, size and position any window on either the local machine or a remote
network client machine.
An extract of some of the Wall Control features currently available:
Vision and IP Camera Window Control
Control Vision and IP Camera* windows on the video wall including the window properties and settings;
position, size, aspect ratio. Customise window on screen display caption, control data transfer and
scaling.
* Requires Wall Control red-IP for IP camera support.
Application Control
A built in application server providing support for controlling third party applications such as Microsoft
Internet Explorer, DGCPlay, MS Paint and Notepad.
Intuitive User Interface
A standardised set of property sheets are available providing a user friendly interface for each type of
window.
On Screen Display (OSD)
Highly exible and highly congurable OSD for over laying text and bitmaps* over Vision and IP Camera
windows oering the ability to add text descriptions and logos*. OSD also supports input for displaying
specic variables such as frame rate etc.
* This feature may not be available on some types of window.
Remote Control
Wall Control can be operated remotely on any PC/Laptop via a local network connection.
Layout and Offline Support
Layout les can be used to save and recall specic window congurations including window size and
positions on the video wall. All congurable window properties can be saved and restored using layout
les. Previously exported conguration les can also be edited oine using Wall Control oine
functionality. This allows les to be edited whilst on the move i.e. on a laptop, then imported into Wall
Control.
